Wait, the TL1000 is a V-twin. Where are the other two injectors going to go? Or do you have two of these?

I did a little research for you. It seems the Si tank has baffles so that the fuel doesn't slosh away from the fuel pump when going around corners when the tank isn't full. The S tank does not have these baffles. They are not needed because the carbs store fuel in the float bowls, and don't require a constant flow of gas from the tank. Fuel injection does require a constant flow in order to maintain fuel pressure. So I would conclude that you will need to replace the S tank with an Si tank.

Luzer thanks every much thats a good piece of info for me.
and about the injectors we was thinking of drilling out the S man
for 4 honda SI injectors.
we would have to make a custom fuel rail but thats no big deal.
all the itb are for is the thrould plates (sorry about spelling not my strong point).
so it lookins like a junk yard run for me. ihave to get a tank and a pump.
well im gonnna be moving down to my dads house now so i might get more done in a fast time so you all can watch this work out really good im hoping

Heres the thread about the gas tanks.

Don't forget to get the return line. That will take you some time to get out. You have to yank just about everything out of the car to get to it.

yeah luzer the tanks are different. the si has a cup that the fuel pump sits in so when you take hard corners fuel stays at the pump. the s does not because there will be enough fuel in the floats of the carbs to sustain fuel to the engine while cornering.

man Dank, have not see you in a while. I hope the ride is running smooth.

hey Honda, If I can think of anything else, I'll post what I come up with. Good luck with the move. Make sure to clearly mark all the boxes with the Honda parts as, Fragile, breakable, glass..what ever you think will not get crushed, don't want to mess them up do you?

There is no differences in the wiring going to the gas tank, both are the same for S and Si. only thing that comes to mind at the moment.

To bad you don't live close to me, I have an 88' S and 88' Si tank sitting on my back porch. I would give them to you, I don't need them and an old B20A3 block with the carbs still on them. You could look at doing something even harder like running 4 carbs. That would be pretty cool, one carb per cylinder. I know i have you thinking now.

good luck

well stop on by if you can. The tank is not going anywhere. Plus it's alread off the car so it cuts out a lot of hard work that you would have to do. PM me if you are serious. Like I said, it's yours for FREE!!!!! just make sure it get's a good home and not in a scrap heap. I might have some other goodies that you are looking for too.

Why would you turbo it AFTER you tuned it for N/A? Why not, if you're going to be using a fully tunable ECU, put yourself a tiny tune on it and ad the 3rd and 4th injectors on it and only have them kick on when in boost or half throttle? It'll run and idle on two injectors until you step on it.
